Thought for Today: “Fellowship with the Holy Spirit”
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” (2 Corinthians 13:14)
The word, “communion” in the Greek language is “koinonia,” and is most often translated as “fellowship.” This is what Paul wants us to have, “koinonia,” or fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Fellowship means companionship, which means sharing life together. Companions are those who freely and willing interact with one another.
But it runs deeper than just being companions; you might say it’s a deep and intimate friendship.
To enter into this fellowship, all we need to do is ask our heavenly Father for this wonderful gift.
Jesus said, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.” (Luke11:13)
