Thought For Today: “The Dimensions of God’s Love”
“I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:17-18).
God’s love is beyond comparison.
The depth of God’s love – “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
The breadth of God’s love – God’s love is so wide it takes in everyone, no matter his or her race, gender, language, or walk of life.
The width of God’s love – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
To grasp how wide, long, high, and deep the love of Christ is, go to the cross and look upon His outstretched arms as He says, “This much.”
