Today’s 333 Devotional: “A Natural Dilemma”
“It is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
Paul is pointing out that humanity without God hasn’t got a clue. They don’t know God’s amazing and unconditional love because they don’t know God and the Holy Spirit doesn’t reside within them.
However, as believers we know because the Holy Spirit resides within us, and He is the one that reveals God to us.
“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:10)
Only the Holy Spirit knows what’s on and in the mind and heart of God. But the natural man doesn’t understand because the things and nature of God are spiritually discerned.
“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God … But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Corinthians 2:11, 14)
This is evident in this present pandemic. Our local, state, and federal government are now dictating how we as believers in Christ are to worship Him, as if they know God, which they don’t, and are more anti-Christ, than they are for Him, and thus represent the spirit of anti-Christ.
So Satan, through these leaders is dictating where, when, and how we are to worship God.
In short, they don’t get it and never will, because they are looking for answers in all the wrong places. And until they seek God’s forgiveness and repent, they’ll continue to get it wrong. Hence, they approve mass protests and riots, while closing the doors of the church, which represents the only hope.
