Thought For Today: Faith and Faithfulness Required

It’s by grace through faith that we are saved and there is nothing to add to that formula.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Yet even so it is our faithfulness that we receive the crown of life.

“Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10)

Therefore faith in Jesus Christ and faithfulness to the gospel message are what is required.
